Experience
of Working as an Intern in CRC

Antara
Singh
LL.B. 3rd Year.
(Training, Advocacy and
Implementation desk, CRC-KSL) |
Ever since I started
undertaking legal education,
I was very interested
in child rights as one
of the aspects of human
rights issues. I had
felt an urge to explore
more on their status,
and needs, and I found
that child rights status
in Nepal are in extremely
deplorable condition.
Their survival, protection
and development rights
are not well promoted
by the state and citizens,
both alike.
In this backdrop,
an opportunity to
work in CRC has meant
boundless space for
me to develop myself.
Collection of resources
on child rights issues
have helped me to
build knowledge on
one hand and the ways
to impart them, through
organizing programs
encourage me to explore
my potentials and
creativity. Thus,
involvement at CRC
has greatly motivated
me in my mission to
work for my society
and my country at
a larger level.

I got this reward at KSL,
working as an intern in
KSL- Child Right Center
which is a great gratification
for me. KSL-CRC has left
me with a new appreciation
and respect for the child
rights and children themselves.
In this depiction, KSL-CRC
has settled be bunch of
opportunities to develop
my career and future. It's
hard too being a student
and part of staff in the
college but somehow I am
trying to play the dual
role in my peers circle
and administration of the
college.
I feel myself so fortunate
that KSL recognized by
ability and appointed
me as intern. I feel responsible
toward the institution
and find myself being
treated different from
other students being a
staff of KSL. I wish to
be the part of KSL in
near future so that I
can blissfully give my
hard work for good of
my institution. The path
ahead is long and hard,
but a beginning has been
made.

LL.B 2nd Year

Desk. CRC-KSL) |
Ever since I have been
studying at Kathmandu
School of Law, I have
always wondered about
my role in the society
and have been looking
for an opportunity to
explore the society to
find out my role. I have
been dreaming of developing
my personality as a bonafide
citizen for this nation.
By being selected for
the Child Rights Research
and Resource Centre in
KSL, I have an intense
belief that now the day
is not far when my dream
will be fulfilled.
I must admit the truth
that with the selection,
I have been granted
lots more opportunities
to develop my potentialities
in a complete professional
way. Within this professionalism,
I have developed stronger
respect for the rights
of the children and
have realized that they
too can be the most
leading personality,
who can secure the prosperous
future of this nation,
provided with the opportunities.
With this new responsibility
and trust of the institution
upon me, I am hopeful
to fulfill my responsibilities
accordingly.
