Moot Court Lab & Competition
KSL in-houses a Moot Court lab for students to practice pleading in the courtroom setting. Mooting has been an effective teaching methodology to enhance student's standard on trial advocacy and case representation.
The simulation practice has contributed in preparing students to participate in the national, regional and international moot court competition. B.A. LL.B students have participated in following moot court competitions and have also bagged the award.
Moot Court activities are regular academic activities at KSL. KSL is getting students participate in (1) Henry Dunant Moot Court Competition (2) Philip Jessup International Moot Court Competition and (3) Asia International Law Moot Court Competition and (4) Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. In Henry Dunant Moot Court, KSL has made a record participation for eleven time consecutive national champion, and, finally in 2016, has been able to achieve the victory of regional championship. In Phillip Jessup, KSL’s participation from Nepal is larger. In Asia International Moot Court, Nepal has made outstanding performance. In Nepal, Kathmandu School of Law is the winner of Laxaman Prasad Aryal Moot Court Competition uninterruptedly for last several years. Kathmandu School of Law itself has introduced Prof. Madhav Prasad Acharya International Law Moot Court Competition from 2015.
